What we clear
We handle small and medium-sized commercial premises. Common jobs include:
- Offices: desks, chairs, filing cabinets, meeting tables, partitions and storage
- Shops: shelving, display units, counters, old stock and stockroom clutter
- Small warehouses and units: racking, pallets, packaging and general waste
- Flats above shops: furniture and belongings left in upstairs living space
Whether you need a single room emptied or the whole premises cleared back to bare walls, we can give you a no-obligation quote. We can usually quote from photos or arrange a visit.
Working around your business
We know a clearance should not get in the way of trading or upset neighbouring businesses. If you need the work done early in the morning, in the evening or at a weekend, out-of-hours clearances may be possible by arrangement. Just ask when you get in touch, and we will try to find a time that works.
We can also work in stages, for example clearing a back office while the shop front stays open, or clearing one floor at a time during a refit.
Office furniture and reuse
A lot of office furniture still has plenty of life in it. Desks, chairs, cabinets and shelving in good order can often be reused, and we aim to pass on usable items to charities and reuse projects where possible.
Metal, wood, cardboard and electrical items are separated for recycling where we can. Only what cannot be reused or recycled goes for disposal. If keeping waste to a minimum matters to your business, tell us and we can talk it through.
Confidential paperwork and data
Many businesses have old files, invoices, staff records or customer details stored in cabinets and back rooms. These need to be destroyed properly, not just thrown away.
We do not provide a certified shredding service. For confidential paper, we advise using a specialist shredding company that can give you a certificate of destruction. We are happy to work around them, for example by leaving locked cabinets or sealed boxes in place for their collection, or by clearing the rest of the premises after they have been.
The same goes for computers, hard drives and phones. Make sure any data is wiped or the drives are removed and handled by a suitable specialist before we take the equipment away.
Flats above shops
Many shops have living space upstairs, and these flats are often cleared at the same time as the business below. Access can be through the shop, a back yard or a separate door, and stairs are often narrow. Let us know how the flat is reached so we can plan for it.
If the flat has been rented out, our end of tenancy clearance page explains how we work with landlords and letting agents. For larger furniture-only jobs, see our furniture removal service.
Access, parking and loading
Commercial premises can have their own challenges, such as busy roads, loading restrictions, shared entrances and lifts. Before the clearance, it helps to tell us:
- Where we can park or load, and any times that are restricted
- Whether there is a lift, and if it can be used for moving furniture
- Whether the landlord or building manager needs to be told in advance
- Any items that must stay, such as fixtures belonging to the landlord
Waste carrier checks
Businesses have a duty to make sure their waste is passed to someone authorised to carry it. You can check any clearance firm's waste carrier registration on the Environment Agency public register, and you are welcome to ask us for our waste carrier details.

Commercial Clearance: FAQs
Can you clear our office outside business hours?
Out-of-hours work, such as early mornings, evenings or weekends, may be possible by arrangement. Just ask when you contact us and we will try to find a time that keeps disruption to a minimum. We can also work in stages if parts of the building need to stay open while we clear other areas.
Do you shred confidential documents?
No, we do not provide a certified shredding service. For confidential paperwork we advise using a specialist shredding company that can give you a certificate of destruction. We are happy to work around their visit, for example by clearing everything else first and leaving sealed boxes or locked cabinets for them to collect.
What happens to old office furniture?
We sort it as we go. Desks, chairs, cabinets and shelving in good condition can often be reused, and we aim to pass on usable items to charities and reuse projects where possible. Items that cannot be reused are separated for recycling where we can, and only what is left goes for disposal.
Can you clear the flat above our shop at the same time?
Yes. Flats above shops are often cleared alongside the business below. Let us know how the flat is reached, whether through the shop, a back yard or a separate door, and what condition the stairs are in. That helps us plan the job so both spaces can be cleared in one visit where possible.
